Works and Building of Loveridge and Hudson Loveridge and Hudson was a commercial building company operating in Sydney, Australia from 1882. They worked with stone, and built and repaired many buildings, mainly in the Sydney CBD, though they stretched as far as Hobart. The stones used were sandstone, marble, trachyte and granite. History of Loveridge and Hudson Aaron Loveridge was a building contractor in Sydney from 1852 to 1882. Thomas Loveridge, of Burwood, and Herbert C Hudson of Homebush worked together on the Hampton Bridge in Kangaroo Valley. Following this, in 1882, they formed their own company, Loveridge and Hudson. Aaron Loveridge had relinquished his stonework company to them. They used trachyte in the Equitable Building in 1891, during which they developed trachyte quarries in Bowral.
