Smaller Works

The use of stone as a building material declined as other materials like concrete, glass and aluminium became cheaper. Loveridge and Hudson were involved in repairing existing buildings and building monuments. Some of those are, in chronological order

Paddington Gates of Centenial Park, Sydney. 1888.  It seems the stonemason, William Little, 'signed' his work. (Musgrave Gate)
St James Anglican Church, King St. Repair stonework. 1971-1974. This required them to open up the old quarry to retrieve the same stone.
