Obituary for Thomas Loveridge, Sydney Morning Herald, 7 Dec 1927

MR. T. LOVERIDGE.
The death occurred on Monday of Mr. Thomas Loveridge, of Grasmere, Shaftesbury-road, Burwood, the oldest surviving member of the Master Builders' Association of New South Wales.
He was the son of a builder, the late Mr. Aaron Loveridge, and for many years was an active partner in the firm of Loveridge and Hudson, who built the Sydney Customs House, the Equitable Building, portion of St. Mary's Cathedral, the Bank of Australasia (head office), the National Art Gallery, and the Registrar-General's building.
The late Mr. Loveridge was president of the Master Builders' Association of New South Wales in 1903, and a trustee up to the time of his death. He took an active part in the controversy regarding day labour contract, which culminated in a report by the Public Service Board on the erection of stone- work for the Prince Alfred Hospital. He was also president of the Federated Master Builders' Association of Australia-1906 to 1909-and was prominent in bowling circles.
The funeral of Mr. Thomas Loveridge took place at the Anglican portion of Rookwood Cemetery yesterday, and was attended by a large number of mourners. Rev. Harry Bryant conducted a service over the re- mains at the late residence of deceased at Shaftesbury-road, Burwood, and afterwards at the graveside.
